Gettysburg National Military Park

"Great for history buffs..."
Especially if you attend over the weekend of Fourth of July when they have re-enactments of the battle. There is nothing like being a spectator at a LARGE War Between the States re-enactment. It is unforgettable. The driving tour of the park is beautiful and educational. Makes a great family field trip.

Disney California Adventure

"Second to Disneyland..."
I was mildly entertained at California Adventure. I guess it just pales beside the classic of Disneyland itself. One of the major disappointments was that my child was too small for most of the attractions, whereas in the Disney park she could ride all but Thunder Mountain Railroad and Indiana Jones. I think the idea behind CA Adventure is cute, but it just wasn't as great as the ORIGINAL.

Disneyland Park

So many childhood memories involve Disneyland. I have watched the park grow and change and I don't believe they have ever had a boring ride or attraction. Add to that the beauty of it all. So magical. The princesses, the castle, the rides, the music, the parades. Thrills, magic, excitement....memories that will last an entire lifetime. It is an absolute MUST SEE in Southern California. Don't miss out!

Raging Waters
1600 Exposition Blvd.,
Sacramento,
California 95815
I have gone to Raging Waters MANY times over the years and have never been disappointed in the place. Fun rides, great accommodations and friendly staff. The park is clean and respectable. I feel the ticket prices are very fair and parking isn't a nightmare like at some places. Definitely a 2 thumbs up place. Family friendly and fun! What more can you ask?

Holiday Inn Cherokee
37 Tsalagi Rd,
Cherokee, North Carolina
We have stayed here two years in a row for a large reunion. The first year was pretty decent. The staff were friendly, the catering acceptable. This past year we were pushed off to the side and treated as a nuisance. Granted we were there with MANY motorcyclists. But they knew that when we made the arrangements. We were made to feel unwelcome and will find a different hotel for future reunions. Their loss.
