"Cool new water fountain and playground"
This is a great little park located near the Streets of Tanasbourne. The park opened in 2008 and features a beautiful water fountain for the kids to play in. The water is gentle enough for the toddlers to get in and enjoy the fun. The water sprays out in different patterns that fascinate kids and parents alike. Be sure to bring along a change of clothes and a towel because you won't be able to keep the kids out of the water!
The playground also has some very nice play structures. There is one structure that is designed for the little kids (under 4) and another much larger one for the older kids. My 20-month old safely played on both. There are a couple of swings, a fun see-saw to ride on and various other climbing equipment.
The park is basically across the parking lot from Whole Foods and a couple of cafes. Makes it easy to pick up some lunch and groceries when you are done playing.

Pigtails and Crewcuts, a Creative Kids Salon

This is a nice place to take your kids for a haircut. They have the requisite fun chairs that are cars, taxi's, etc. They also have TV monitors at each station with a kids movie showing.
The waiting area has a train table where the kids can be entertained if there is a wait. We have gone numerous times and rarely have to wait and never more than five minutes. The waiting area is ;however, near their retail shelves with lots of attractive fun merchandise which can be challenging to keep a toddler away from.
Probably my favorite thing about Pigtails and Crewcuts is that it is a nice, clean facility. I have been to other kids salons in the area and have felt like everything is old and dirty. The nice clean atmospher at Pigtails and Crewcuts keeps me coming back.
The staff is nice and they have always been very good with my daughter. They are very fast and good at cutting hair even if the child is a bit wiggly.
Prices are comparable to other kids salons in the area.
No appointment necessary. Just walk in and sign-in with the receptionist.

"Great Place for a Birthday Party"
This is a very fun place for a birthday party! My nephew had his party here as he turned 5. The kids were split into two groups and the groups rotated around to different parts of the gym where they participated in a variety of activities such as the "bounce house", the trampoline, the "foam pit" and more. The kids spent a very reasonable amount of time at each station. An OGA staffer supervised each group.
After the activities everyone gathered in a party room for cake and gifts. The room is set up with several picnic style tables and includes counter space.
All of the kids had a great time at this party. My daughter was the youngest participant at 20 months old, and she was more than welcome to join in on the fun (parent participation required).
OGA has a beautiful facility. I highly recommend this as a fun place for a birthday party.
They also have Indoor Park for kids up to age 6 once a week. This is very fun as well. I understand that they have parents night out periodically. My daughter is still too young for this so I can't comment. You'd have to check their website for details.

Summer Lake Park
11450 SW Winter Lake Drive,
Tigard,
Oregon 97223
This is a really nice park that we have been to multiple times. It surrounds a pretty little lake with a trail that meanders around it. The trail is mostly paved, but part of it does go through the woods and is wood chip. This can be muddy during the rainy season, although even then I have managed to get my regular stroller through without much difficulty.
There is a very nice playground. It is a fairly large playground and can reasonably handle quite a few kids without feeling like it is out of control. There are a couple of slides. It has a couple of swings, although whenever we have gone someone else is always using them.
There is a nice big grassy area near the playground that is good for running around, playing ball, etc. You do have to watch out for goose/duck and sometimes doggie droppings.
There is a fenced dog run that is in another part of the park. I don't have a dog so can't comment beyond that.
I highly recommend this park as it is definitely one of our favorites. Very pretty place to spend a few hours playing and exploring.

"Award Winning Play area"
This is a pretty neat park. It is designed to represent the history of Tualatin fromprehistory to early settlement.
There are lots of fun things for kids to explore including a trolley, prehistoric mammoth skeleton, pretend river, various climbing structures, riding structures and swings. There is even a statue of a cow for the kids to climb on, although my daughter was terrified of it. There are areas for the kids to dig around in.
It is a very fun park, although I felt like my 20 month old daughter was a bit young for it. I had to keep her from getting into the mud and the slides were too scary for her.
There is a nice big field to run around in and some great covered picnic areas. I think there might even be some trails you could walk on or ride bikes on.
This park does have restrooms available right next to the playground.
