We are a busy family with 3 kids and we don't sit still. When we aren't running off to scouts, dance, sports, etc., we really enjoy spending time as a family. If we have a day we will try to find someplace local to explore. If we have a weekend we go a little further. Give us a week and we can really pack it in. We are always on the lookout for family friendly destinations (especially hotels which seem so hard to find!). Our vacations are not spent floating in the pool...they are spent exploring the area to its fullest!

My daughter is such a pip and thinks the hotel is the destination. If we do sightseeing along the way she just keeps asking "when are we going to get to the hotel?" She loves checking out our new "home away from home" and she LOVES the fact that she gets to share a room with someone!!

Great lists this week. One little detail. I think it would be better to say Day 1, Day 2 instead of Monday Tuesday...
I was also wondering if you might have hotel recommendations for either of these beach destinations. If you don't yet, that's okay. I'll just find some deals. I like how Katie did her list for San Diego with 3 options - budget, mid and luxury.

I love your DIsney World Restaurant List. I think it's gonna be super helpful. I wonder if you might be able to add a few more details under the comments of the restaurants where you didn't have a review and just comments. Could you provide info on why it's one of the best restaurants, what kids like, what adults like?

Hi. I saw a post you had done that mentioned you were from conneticut. In a couple of weeks i am going to be going to Vermont to pick up my step sons from there mom. We live in Michigan so I will be taking i-90 most of the way. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for stops along the way. I dont want to do anything that will take to long but was hoping to find some small things to stop at to break up the amount of time we are in the care. Do you have any ideas. I'm knew to being a mom so this is my first time traveling with kids. The boys are 3 and 9 years old. Thanks for any suggestions that you have. Julie
