"A Great Amusement and Water Park "
Our children LOVE Hersheypark! The park is great for little ones and older kids. It takes us 2-3 days to complete a trip. Our kids often want to ride the rides a few times and the great news is that, even when really busy, the rides for smaller kids almost never have a wait.
The Park is clean and safe.
The Waterpark is AWESOME!! Our kids want to spend a full day here.
The only negative, is there is almost no healthy food options (Subway being the exception) and you cannot bring in your own food/snacks. Prices are high, of course.

"A Great Waterpark...but avoid the crowds"
We visited Wildwater Kingdom and our kids were blown away by the HUGE wave pool. We couldn't get them to get out and try the other water rides.
The Amusement park and Water park are geared toward older kids, but our 3 year old and 6 year old had a great time!

Crayola Factory | kids travel, kids activities
Crayola Factory
30 Centre Square,
Easton,
Pennsylvania
"Overcrowded and underwhelmed"
We were very excited as we arrived at the Crayola factory, but disappointed in short order. The Factory is a mediocre experience at best. Yes they have crafts at assigned stations, but honestly we would be better off (and a lot less stressed) spending our $40 on supplies and doing the crafts at home. There simply wasn't anything innovative at Crayola. A let down.

"Spectacular new location"
On our recent trip, we actually first drove to the old site of this museum and were not sure what we were getting ourselves in to. After getting directions to the new site, we drove up to a beautifully renovated Greek Revival massive museum. The restoration is so beautiful and the museum is just awesome. Far and away our favorite activity of our Philly vacation.

Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse | kids travel, kids activities
Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse
33rd St & Oxford St,
Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania 19121
"Nice Playground, but the Playhouse needs serious updating"
Having read so many great reviews about Smith, we were so excited to visit. As we drove to the location through Fairmount Park, our expectations were dampened. This area of the park is nothing short of scary and The House is covered in scaffolding (it is undergoing an exterior renovation). My kids didn't want to go inside but I insisted. I can see the beauty of what once was and I hope that the City and State provide funding to rehab this diamond in the rough.

That being said, the The Playground is nothing short of ingenious. It is one of a kind and worth the visit.
