This is a huge museum that could easily take days to go through. Make sure you grab a map and plan to see all your favorite things first, because with a museum this massive there is no way to get through it all in just one day. There is so much for everyone to see and do. The exhibits are amazing. Keep an eye on the traveling exhibits, they have some really neat things that come here.

This is a great place to take the family. The Shedd Aquarium is not huge, but there is plenty for your family to do. There is everything from itty bitty fish to massive dolphins and whales that can be seen in this beautiful aquarium right off of Lake Michigan. The aquarium can be a bit pricey, so keep an eye on thier website for free days or discount days throughout the year.

This is a HUGE playplace. McDonalds is the same as any other McDonalds, but the playplace is massive and they have done things right here. There is a huge glasses of section for the play area. Where parents have the options to sit at a table in the play area while the kids are playing or the all glass walls make it possible for parents to escape the noise and eat in peace while being able to watch the children. Great McDonalds, lot of fun for families with younger kids.

Kennedy Space Center is a really neat place to visit as a family. It is located in a beautiful area of Flordia the space shuttles are truely sights to behold. It is really nice to walk through the exhibits and to be able to walk through the space shuttles. There are several educational videos and exhibits that make this a great learning experience and lots of hands on fun for the whole family.

Wall Drug is a great place to stop on your way to Rushmore, Yellowstone, etc... This is the ultimate tourist trap! They have all kinds of trinkety things, but it reminds you of a rustic, old west kind of shopping. Great place to get black hills gold and a buffalo burger. A little place to stop in the middle of nowhere.
