Santa Fe Community College Teaching Zoo
3000 Northwest Eighty-third Street,
Gainesville,
Florida
This used to be a feee museum but now they do charge a small fee. It's $5 for adults and $4 for kids. We scheduled an appointment to have the guide and I would recommend that if you have older kids so they can learn something about the animals. With smaller kids, you probably just want to do the self-guided tour on your own.
The otters are my favorite to watch if they are active.

Disney's Pop Century Resort
1050 Century Drive,
Lake Buena Vista, Florida
We stayed in the perfect room, right in front of one of the pools. The food court seemed to stay busy at all hours but was still pretty quick in and out. The mugs are definitely worth buying if you are staying more than one night.
It is nice to have the gift shop in the resort so you can find something there and not have to lug souvenirs all over the theme parks.
I would definitely stay again, this resort seems nicer than the All Star Resorts, not sure if that's just because it is newer?

Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI)
4801 East Fowler Avenue,
Tampa,
Florida 33617
My favorite part of the museum is the disaster area where you can experience a wildfire, tornado, and hurricane. This might be a little intense for small kiddos, mine where a little nervous.
The Kids In Charge area is huge, lots of hands on things for them to do. You can spend hours in there! The room where you can push the button to make your shadow appear on the wall is really cool. We did that over and over.
The older kids liked the highwire bicycle, you get strapped in and go out and back on the bike 30 feet in the air.
When it's warm the butterfly garden is pretty. Also the museum has a planetarium and IMAX theater for an extra charge.

Timberline Farm Corn Maze
3200 SE 115 St,
Belleview,
Florida
The corn maze was definitely the best part for the kids. They loved walking through.
Another highlight was feeding the animals. You could pay 10 cents and get a vegetable from the fruit stand to feed the pigs and sheep. There were local vendors selling produce, food, candles, etc.
Little kids loved riding the tractor-train. The cars were painted like different animals and the tractor pulled them through the field. Pony rides were also a hit.

LEGOLAND Florida
One LEGOLAND Way,
Winter Haven,
Florida 33884
We went yesterday on a pass member preview day. The park is absolutely awesome for kids ages 6 to 12. I also have a 15 year old and he enjoyed it as well.
Drving School is a fun ride where kids can drive in a car by themselves. They are running stop signs and red lights and it is hilarious to watch! You can purchase a driver's license for them at the end of the ride.
All of the roller coasters are kid friendly. You do have to look on the website for height requirements before you go if you have little ones (under 6). Otherwise, it seems most kids over 6 will be able to do all of the rides. There aren't any that go upside down or too fast so my 6 and 8 year olds were the perfect ages to be able to enjoy everything.
There is a safari ride where you can see animals made out of Legos. Miniland is where you can see the NYC skyline, hot spots in Florida, Washington DC and more made out of Legos. The attention to detail is so cute, we spotted the Obama family standing on the steps of the White House.
We ate at the pizza buffet restaurant and pricing was 10.99 for adults and 6.99 for kids. The pizza was really good and being a buffet, everyone was able to eat as much as they wanted.
The waterski show features Lego figures skiing and Pirates! We saw the Clutch Powers 3D movie and it was really cute. There were 2 others that we will have to catch next time we go. We live 2 hours away and can't wait to go back!!
