I adore Barnes and Noble and they always offer such a great children's selection and adults. I have always been a reader for as long as I can remember and my children are following suit! They have such big smiles on their faces when I say lets take a trip to barnes and noble and get a new book! Its such a special time to read them a goodnight book and this barnes and noble always has what im looking for and great service! My children naturally gravitate towards their family friendly children's section and spend at least 30 minutes looking around.

This place was a tough decision. I wasn't sure if my kids would get enough out of it or if they would be afraid but we went for it anyway! My son was only 4 and my daughter much younger but they enjoyed it! My daughter was way too young but my son and husband got such a kick out of it! My son was a little dare devil and i was so happy we went through with it!! The lines were a little long and the price a bit high but I would definitely take my kids back when they are older. They had a great "kid zone" where I felt comfortable letting my son play with other children his age, my husband was very close by :) This is definitely an attraction that has older children, at least age 7. It also is not so much of a theme park as an amusement park with more roller coasters and big attractions.

Oakland International Airport | kids travel, kids activities
Oakland International Airport

Just your average airport, not much for the children to even look at let alone interact with. I've used this airport several time and it isn't very easy going. Its always crowded with no crowd control so i worry about my children being safe and comfortable. Staff tries to be friendly but i definitely wouldn't choose to bring my kids along with me at this airport. My children seemed bored and there wasn't even a child friendly restaurant. I would not recommend families fly out of this airport, San Francisco has a much friendlier and kid friendly environment.

I don't like airports at all, especially with two little ones in tow, however, this airport was a little different. They actually had some things that my children could look at and entertain them. It was of course crowded but their were aspects that were very kid friendly and I appreciated that for my little ones. Airports are boring enough for me, imagine children's idea of an airport! This place helped ease my mind. My children were immediately interested in the well known food chains and there were some cute shops around the airport that had child friendly toys/books/ souvenirs. This airport was much more comfortable for my family.

I loved this place and would encourage all mommies to take a relaxing visit. My kids did not appreciate this place at all, they are just too dang young! my husband was practically bored to tears but i enjoyed every minute. this isnt a place for kids but definitely for mommies and maybe daddies! What was hard was that my children were young, if my children were school aged I think we could have had more discussions about what goes on in the garden, how to make all the plants grow, etc. Ages 6 and up I would say might enjoy it, definitely more of a mommy and me trip.
