Magnolia Park
1810 NW 192nd Ave,
Hillsboro,
Oregon 97006
We visit this park at least once a week when the weather is nice. The location is amazing- right by the Streets of Tanasbourne mall, Whole Foods, and several little restaurants. The park is great- there is a water feature for the kids to run around in (with plenty of seating for moms). There is a smaller play structure and a larger play structure, and the play structures have some neat things that I haven't seen in a lot of playgrounds (2 different spinny things and some other cool additions). My daughter has loved this park since she was about 8 months old. Also there's a covered area with tables that could easily seat 75.

Me Too Cafe
16755 Baseline Rd. #102,
Beaverton,
Oregon 97006
I have mixed feelings about this cafe. It is really great because you can eat food while your child is being babysat- and you can feel good about leaving your child in the play room because you can see what's happening in there through the windows. The only problem is the kids can see out, too, and I know my daughter doesn't like being in there if she knows I'm just feet away, eating. Also, the food is just from Costco, so it's not nearly worth the prices they charge. They do do some really great things for holidays and special occasions (art projects, cookie or cupcake decorating) and my daughter always loves that!

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm
33814 S. Meridian Rd.,
Woodburn,
Oregon 97071
Adults will love the Tulip Festival. The tulips are absolutely breathtaking. Honestly. It is so beautiful up there. My mom and I went, and we wanted to walk around the tulips for an hour, but we couldn't because we had my daughter. Luckily, they had a kids area set up by the entrance with all sorts of good stuff for the kids. There were bouncy houses, a rock wall, several little play structures, and a lot of other games and activities for the kids to do. And there was some good food, too!

Children's Park - Washington Park
SW Park Place ,
Portland,
Oregon
"Beautiful park in the forest."
I have to say my favorite thing about this park is the ground. I'm pretty sure it's made of recycled tires, so it's really soft and bouncy- which is great because it's a playground, so kids are always falling and tripping. The location is great- on the same little street as the Children's Museum and the Zoo. The only bad thing about this park is that there is only minimal cover for the rain. Little kids and big kids will love this playground.

Sweet Tomatoes
6600 SW Cardinal Lane,
Tigard,
Oregon
This place is almost always crowded for dinner, but that is because it's so good. It's absolutely family-friendly. There are a ton of options for kids (though they will have their hearts set on desserts only). The prices are great, and the food is really great, too. I love the family atmosphere- you don't feel like you have to force your child to eat a meal in silence. This is a great restaurant for families (especially if you go at lunch, when it's not so busy).
