About Me & My Family

My husband and I have been married for almost 4 years and we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl last September. Traveling is one of our very favorite things to do together! We often travel with our families (including younger siblings, cousins, etc.), so we know what it's like to travel with kids. We can't wait to take our own daughter along with us on our adventures. We are always planning our next trip!

"Beautiful Shopping Center, Fun for Families"
Yesterday my daughter and I went to the grand opening of City Creek Center in downtown Salt Lake. It's a shopping center with lots of popular stores, many of which can't be found anywhere else in the state. It has outdoor walkways, but when the weather gets colder, a retractable roof covers them! There is a splash-pad like area for the kids to play in the fountains, as well as three larger fountains designed by the same guy who did the fountain at the Bellagio in Vegas. They have dancing water, music, and even fire! They are really fun to watch and my daughter was fascinated. There is also a man-made creek that runs through the whole center, which covers 2 large city blocks. It is a beautifully-designed shopping center. The shopping was fun for me and my baby girl loved walking around and watching the fountains! There are also plenty of places to eat, from fast food at the food court to little cafes and more upscale-restaurants like the Cheesecake Factory. City Creek Center is a great place for families!

"Great Hands-on Museum for Little Kids!"
I took my 18-month-old here today and she had SO MUCH FUN! The whole bottom floor of the museum is full of hands-on activities that are perfect for little kids, including a machine that spits balls out, a farm where the kids can gather fruits and vegetables, a stream with water toys, a little playhouse with slides, and more. Upstairs, there were fun activities for older kids (5-10 ish), but she loved some of those too! There was also an outside patio where kids can have a snack and sit inside a helicopter. We spent 2 hours there, but easily could have spent a couple more if it wasn't nap time. ;)

"A Must-see for Nemo Lovers"
Usually my family doesn't care as much about the shows when we go to Disney World, but we decided to give this one a shot. We are so glad that we did! It was absolutely adorable! The costumes and special effects were total eye-candy and the singers were fantastic. We couldn't believe how well-done this performance was. It followed the storyline of the movie pretty well, but was slightly condensed. This show is great for all ages!

"Best Roller Coasters!"
My family loves Islands of Adventure! The two main roller coasters there, Dueling Dragons and The Hulk, are two of our favorite roller coasters of all time. The Spiderman ride is also very fun. It's like a virtual reality ride, but then you also move along a track. It is unlike any other ride we've been on--very innovative! The Seussland part of the park is really fun for the little kids. It is covered in whimsical decorations inspired by Seuss' books and has mild rides that even toddlers will love.

"Fun Experience, Very Expensive!"
We had a really fun time eating at Cinderella's Royal Table, which is the restaurant that is actually inside of Cinderella's Castle in Disney World. You get your family's picture taken with Cinderella and they include the prints in the price of your meal. You are then taken upstairs to eat among beautiful stained glass windows. There is some entertainment from the Fairy Godmother and mice and the food is delicious! The only bad thing about this experience is that it is extremely expensive! Your little girls will be in heaven, though. It's definitely worth doing once! You will need to make reservations to go here. I would recommend making them as soon as you know what day you will be in WDW! We tried to get our reservation a couple months before we went and it was already booked. Luckily there were cancellations and we got in at the last minute, but I wouldn't count on that.
