Antelope Island State Park
4528 West 1700 South,
Syracuse,
Utah 84075
Fun place to visit for families. There's bike and hiking trails throughout. If you're adventurous and don't care about getting a little dirty you can go "float" in the Great Salt Lake. However you'll have to walk quite a ways out there as it's a really shallow lake. There are a lot of brine flies around, so bring some bug spray.

Willard Bay State Park
900 W. 650 North #A,
Willard,
Utah 84340
Willard Bay is a good day trip not too far from Salt Lake. There are some rocky shores so if you don't have a boat you might have to drive around to find a beach for the kids to play. Last time I was there, there was a lot of bugs too, so remember to bring the bug repellent.

LaVell Edwards Stadium
(400 E University Parkway) ,
Provo,
Utah 84602
LaVell Edwards Stadium is a good stadium for football games. Very clean and well laid out. There is a beautiful view of the mountains within the stadium. However, please be aware that no alcohol is served with the BYU campus if you are visiting from out of town.

Jordanelle State Park
Hwy 319, #515, Box 4,
Heber City,
Utah 84032
Good place to visit, especially if you have a boat. Campgrounds are a little cramped and if you are trying to get to different areas on the shore to fish or play you will really have much better luck if you have a boat available to get to different areas. Dogs must be on a leash in campground areas only.

Mt. Timpanogas LDS Temple

American Fork,

This temple has gorgeous grounds throughout. The grounds are kept meticulously groomed. There is beautiful architecture throughout also. Great temple to go do a session if you are in the area. Definitely worth the drive if you're looking for a new temple to visit.
