"Everytime We Visit, We Always Go "
This is a funtastic destination for both kids of all ages and adults. One nice bonus about this is that it is located in Downtown Disney so their is no admission price to visit here. Animals and the Rainforest surround you in this restaurant and store. Huge fish tanks and multi-level dining with a show will take you away to another land for your visit.
The food is also of the highest quality. My favorite dish is the country fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy. This is well worth the price and can definitely feed two or you can take some back to the hotel for a late night snack.
If you are planning your trip to Disneyland, make sure to print out the coupons for the Rainforest restaurant. You may also want to sign up for their club, their is a fee involved but it is well worth it. You receive preferential seating, great freebies, discunts and other bonuses. If you have children they often have a print out item for them to color and if you bring it with you they will give you a free kids meal with purcahse of an adult meal.
When you go in they also give the kids crayons and a coloring menu. The kids drinks come in fun cups that are covered with rainforest characters and make great souveneirs. Last time we went we opted for a great light up cup that was reasonably priced and filled with milk. I was surprised later to find an on and off switch on it and my oldest still loves to turn on that cup and drink from it when the lights are down low.
My only problem that I have with this place is that they are so far from where I live, so I do not get to visit them as much as I would like to.

"Great Free Accessable Ranch"
This is a ranch that Beth Currier has created as a non-profit to allow people with disabilities the opportunity to access horses and a ranch experience. They even have a place where you can stay overnight that is wheelchair friendly. Since the owner, Beth, is in a wheelchair you can imagine that everything about the experience here is friendly for people with disabilities and their friends and families. Even school children from the local schools have had the opportunity to interact at the ranch.
If you havea disability and will be visiting the Central Coast area, you should give the ranch a call. They do not really charge any fees, instead they rely on donations from companies and a ton of free work from the owner herself, Beth. So for an inexepensive unique opportunity, this is it. Finally, the ranch also offers special days like for the visually impaired and Beth always has a ton of volunteers to help out. So even if you don't have a disability but you want to help out they would love it! You could probably even stay a night or two in exchange for the volunteering.

"Free Fun for the Whole Family"
THis is a great place for the whole family to visit. If you do not want to spend any money, no problem or pressure. If you want to feed the animals, they will even give you a free bag of 'veggies' for them. My daughters, 1 & 3, love this place and are always pointing in awe.
If you want to spend some money, then they can help you out easily. They have a huge variety of fresh produce and home made goodies along with some child-hood favorites. You will not go away hungry from this place.
The only problem may be parking. There is a limited amount of parking. So you may have a difficult time finding a spot, after all this is a popular place.

"Not very accessible"
This is a no brainer for me, don't go. This is not very accessible for people in wheelchairs. Since it is a historic type of establishment it is also not kid friendly from what I have seen from stopping their to investigate.
Instead, go to the other places in the part that are accessible and as affordable. This place also specializes in golf.

"Expensive, so save up!"
If you get a chance to go, do! This place has gone up in price though and it has gotten to be very expensive. If you can go during the off season, they do offer deals if you sign up for their newsletter.
One nice thing, is once you are their you can park your car and take the free transportation that is included in your fees. Save on gas and take advantage of this. Everything you need will be in walking distance and tram distance from the lodge. There is a reasonably priced restaurant on premises and a small store where you can get some basics. You can also buy food from the larger grocery store and bring it back to the lodge on the tram system. Then save lots by eating picnics and on your patio that a lot of the lodge rooms offer.
Depending on where you stay in the lodge, some have more amentities then others so you may want to call and inquire in advance.
The only other advice is book one year in advance. That is the National Parks way of doing the booking. This is a great family place to stay and it is very basic, definitely not a luxury resort, but still woth the trip. If you have tons of money, try the Awahnee! Also try the sundaes at the Awanhee hotel, this is a great treat that will give you the ambience without breatking the bank.
