Wow, that’s a fabulous photo! It’s not the camera, it’s your mad skills.  Love this picture of your family at Disney and I must made it the lead photo for Disneyland on Trekaroo.

Thanks Thank you 07/18/09

For your comment regarding:

Traveling on a budget with kids

You said:

"We recently went to San Diego, road trip with 4 kids. We did not go to any large attractions, our plan was to keep it as close to free other than hotel and meals. We did go to Scripps Aquarium which set us back a little over $30 for all of us so that was cheaper than one kids admission to Sea World. I searched here on Trekaroo for Tide Pools and outdoor fun in San Diego and found many great free ideas. It was wonderful to visit 3 beaches, enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and spend next to nothing for feally fun quality time with my kids. We spent $300 for hotel, roughly $100 a night for a nice room with kitchen, ate the free breakfast and grabbed some fruit apples oranges and banannas for the road as they were free with the breakfast and that coverred snacks. We would pack sandwiches for the beach and had plenty of food with the fruit for the day and would only eat dinner out. We have a favorite mexican place we go each time we are in San Diego. We spent $576 this trip for 6 people as our last trip to Disneyland we got out of there for roughly $3500. Sometimes the nature trips are the best ones as you really do enjoy each other and get to take advantage of what is available to us for free!!"

Thanks for your fantastic reply to my question on budget travel. Really glad you managed to use Trekaroo as a resource to reduce travel expenses. Would you be willing to write reviews of the tide pools that you visited?  It will be really helpful to other parents.

Thanks!  It was definitely a blast and something I wasn't sure my 6 year old would enjoy.  We're definitely glad we tried it!  We're considering surfing here in California as well, but it's just oh so cold...

I’m inspired! After this raving review from you....I'm putting Torrey Pines on my list for our next visit to SD.

Tell me more, tell me more, I just love your great tips!  Welcome to Trekaroo.  I'm so glad you jumped right in with your first 5 reviews.  I can't wait to visit Crystal Cove State Park with my kids.  It sounds wonderful.   Can't wait to read about other fun places you've been to with your kids.
