Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (March Only) | kids travel, kids activities
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (March Only)

"Livestock show a hit!"
This is our favorite time of the year! Our 1 and 3 year old absolutely love going to the livestock show! They love seeing all the animals up close and getting to go to the children area. There is a huge carnival and a children section where the kids can do their own mock farming and a great petting zoo! The food is amazing and there is so much to see. We have never done the rodeo, but the Livestock show is a great day!!

"Great for kids!"
This museum is a really fun place to take the kids, but don't expect to get a lot of history out of it. The Space Center is more of an arcade/theme park than a museum. The kids love it, but we took the kids and grandparents and it was a little disappointing. The food is very overpriced, and most of the cool exhibits charge extra to get in.

Houston Galleria | kids travel, kids activities

"Okay, but not great"
We've been to the Galleria many times, but as a middle income family it's a bit above our price range. The food court is really good and has a lot of variety, there is a really fun ice rink inside that the kids can enjoy, and the attached hotel is really nice!! We do not, however, do a lot of actual shopping here as the stores are all upscale.

"Best museum!!"
This museum is amazing! My daughters, 3 and 1, LOVE this place! Our playgroup goes often and there are activities for children of all ages! The little ones are engaged and the bigger ones are challenged to explore and learn. We could spend the whole day here!

"Awesome family time"
The Houston Rockets are a great family activity! Not only do they have a fun, energetic atmosphere, but there are plenty of games and activities for the kids to enjoy in between plays. The food is also great! Our daughter is 3 and a half and she loved it! Only downfall is evening games...they tend to run late, but weekend games are perfect!
