Sesame Place
100 Sesame Road,
Langhorne,
Pennsylvania 19047
We drove cross country to visit Sesame Place and it was so worth it. Our daughter was 2 1/2 at the time. We spent a week. The park is small enough not to overwhelm the little ones or parents. Small scale but perfect for Sesame/Elmo fans. We stayed in Levitown and if I had it to do over I would have stayed CLOSER to the park, our kid still needed afternoon naps at the time. I would definately reccoment the Big Bird pass for the FREE parking that comes with it and the backstage passes - I got the BEST pictures of my daughter with the gang behind the scenes before the daily parade. The character dine was a lot of fun too...worth the price in my opinion.

The Magic House Children's Museum
516 S. Kirkwood Rd. ,
Saint Louis,

A unique museum experience. Our two year old was a bit overwhelmed at all there was to do. I think it's a bit pricey. If you visit the website they have Free Family Nights on certain Fridays (during the fall I believe) but it is SO CROWDED on those nights you might be better off to just pay admission and avoid the crowds. The electrostatic ball that makes your hair stand up is a great photo opp. don't miss that!

The Wharf in Orange Beach
23101 Canal Rd,
Orange Beach,
Alabama 36561
Visited with our two year old. She enjoyed the Ferris Wheel. If I remember correctly there were zip line like things for older kids. Shopping and restraunts - a good evening outing after a day at the beach. If I was short on time there would be other things I'd do before this. Only worth the trip if you have the leisure time and want to check out something a little different.

Alligator Alley
19950 County Road 71,
Summerdale,
Alabama 36580-3003
We visited in late summer - it was HOT. You have to walk. We took our 2 year old, no stroller, no water. :-( You see gators and they do have a decent little feeding show, but again hot and you are sitting outside. Our daughter was not really interested. She got bored & crabby. Might be good for older kids or those that really like gators. At the end there was a great photo opp to have your kids pic made with a gator. They let you take as many photos as you like - everyone was very nice. It was interesting but I wouldn't take my two year old again.

"The Little Zoo That Could"
I was hesitant when I pulled up to this "Zoo". We often visit the St. Louis Zoo (a free zoo) and when we pulled up in the gravel parking lot and had to PAY to enter I thought we might be disappointed. I'm SO GLAD we went. Our two year old had a blast. She was able to do a Kangaroo encounter (for $5) - she entered the pen with baby kangaroos and was able to hold the Kangaroo. The staff was great with my kid and the animals. Kids can feed the animals. Tiger show. Other animal encounters for a small fee. Lots of opportunities for such a little zoo.
