About Me & My Family

My family consists of myself, my husband and our two boys who are 19 years old and 5 years old. My husband is active duty in the military so we move around alot. We love to be outdoors, but can not pass up a good museum as well. We love to take car trips. I try to plan vacations to places I have never been before, but there are times where you just have your favortie places and you want to return.

A Place We'd Love To Visit
We will be visiting Tokyo in a few months.
Favorite Vacation Memory
Our youngest sons first visit to Disneyland. It was awesome to see our 19 year old show his little brother around cause he had been there before. It was so great to see how they interacted and bonded there.
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
Driving clear across the country in the car with our two boys this past summer we drove to Disneyworld. The drive was entirely too long especially for our boys.

"A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!"
I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series so I may be a little biased, but Universal has absolutely out done themselves! Just walking up to the entrance I got butterflies in my stomach :) .. the first thing you see is the Hogswart Express! Walking down the street, there is just no way you can not feel like you are in Hogsmeade. There is alot to see, and at first the crowd can be a bit overwhelming but my family all agree we actually lost ourselves in this park, the crowds didnt even matter. Ollivanders was an amazing experience for everyone but especially for that one lucky child who gets called on to see what wand chooses them. The butterbeer was refreshing on a hot FL day! And I have to say The Forbidden Journey ride was hands down the best ride I have ever been on. If you have kids who can not ride Universal has done a swap system, where part of your party can ride while the other part of your party waits in the swap room and then you swap your family doesnt have to stand in line again they are taken from the swap room to get on the ride. It was such a great thing for us as a family with a small child who could not ride because no one who could ride got left out and wait outside for an hour til we came back and hear about the ride they didnt get to ride. So that was a great bonus! Even my five year old who has never seen a Harry Potter movie was mesmerized. He loved the hippogriff ride and I swear we rode it a dozen times.

It certainly helped that we stayed at the resort onsite so we got to bypass the lines and we were able to get in to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter park an hour before people who didnt stay on resort.

"Dinner and a show :)"
This place is wonderful! The staff was super friendly and interacted with our kids a great deal. My five year old even got his own drivers license. He was really proud of that! They joked around with our whole family it was a really great time! I will definitely return to this restaurant.

The food was great! There really is something for everyone! Everyone in my family got something different and we do what we always do and let each other taste each others dish and I had no complaints :) The "tables" are great they are set up like cars at a drive in. The lights are kept very low, as to keep that drive in at night movies feel.

We made reservations weeks in advance so I highly recommend it. Or be prepared for a long wait. But it is definitely worth it.

"Beware, Keep Your Elbows off the Table!!"
I loved this restaurant! The staff is FABULOUS! They stick with the theme to a T! From the moment your called to your table, to being told to set the table yourself, and please please do not put your elbows on the table as my mom kept doing it and she got put in the corner for doing so. This restaurant is HILLARIOUS! For that reason alone I will visit this place everytime we visit. The food is an added bonus, it is delicious, and plentiful! Everyone at our table LOVED what they had, from meatloaf to fried chicken it was delicious. We purchased the dining plan and this restaurant was one of the restaurants participating in it so we didnt pay anything out of pocket, but if you are not paying with a dining plan it can get quite expensive. I still think its worth it!

"Fun! Fun! Fun!"
We have been to the Pacific Science Center many times and never have a complaint. Our five year olds favorite exhibit is the dinosaurs, they are huge and life like. My favorite is the butterfly house, its just amazing the butterflies land on your shoulders or hands its just pretty amazing. I love how they change the exhibits every now and then which helps in the museum not being boring. The restrooms are far and few between, and there is not much as far as food is concerned. But they do have a small concession area upstairs. The museum is interactive and educational but it makes learning fun, so much so that my husband I quite frequently find ourselves interacting with the exhibits as well. This is a must do in Seattle.
