Mile long mall with family arcade, outlet stores, tons of activites. also has tons of great restaurants and fast food in the food court. Kids club has weekly events such as decorating pretzels, to spinning a prize wheel. Mini train runs through mall as well as quarter rides to occupy kids. Carts to carry purchases features seats for tired kids to ride on.

Smithsonian Natural History Museum

when you kids are old enough to walk around and enjoy history, definately hit up the smithsonian. Everything is free, you can walk the mall and there are always cool things going on. we parked at college park md and rode in on the subway which was very cheap and clean and not crowded. we typically go on Columbas Day when school is closed. all of the museums are free and the gift shops are also very cool. My favorite is The American Indian Museum. The kids always like the Natural History or the Air and Space Museum. Bring small bills, watch your pockets and bring your own water. Also, wear layers, it can be cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. for kids, small kids should be in a stroller and older kids need to hold your hand. it is a crowded city with business people and tourists.

Sand Harbor beach, Lake Tahoe
Highway 28, south of Incline Village,
Incline Village,

lake tahoe in the summer was a stop on one of our cross country drives. I was honestly content to just sit and stare at the snow capped mountains from the comfort of the pool. be very careful about the sun because you will not get hot but you are probably getting burnt. I had the worst sunburn ever here and I was wearing 50 spf sport sunscreen. Bring card games and drawing items to occupy kids. Not much to do other than enjoy beauty or go to casino.

right across the street from Penn State Berks, Ihad to walk through this park with my kids. The best time to walk is in early fall, you may see deer and you will see squirrels and bunnies. The leaves are beautiful. There are very few places you can forget about everything but this is one of those places. I do remember they have activities here also such as Easter Egg Hunts. Going to college at Penn State Berks was very much like summer camp.

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City
777 Harrah's Blvd.,
Atlantic City, New Jersey
we first started staying at harrah's because i heard they had a kiddie pool. the pool has been redone and is now 3 feet deep. it has a mushroom that splashes you with water. it isindoor and heated. there are outdoor rooftop activities also. near the pool is an arcade where you can win tickets for prizes. they have a few slot machines for kids including deal or no deal. the pool opens late and closes early. downstairs is a foodcourt with pizza, subs, and ice cream. the sub shop has large portions. therooms have fridges but no microwave. there is also a path outside going around the bay. having a stroller and a fold up scooter will keep your kids entertained. also, throw some sidewalk chalk in a ziploc baggie in your purse and the kids will be entertained. they can also play an impromptu game of hopscotch. Just make sure you have wipes for their hands.
