Favorite Vacation Memory
My favorite vacation was our 6th anniversary trip to Reykjavik, Iceland. Even though I'm not an outdoors person, I loved the glacier hike and enjoying all the beautiful wild scenery. The city was beautiful, everyone was friendly and everything was convenient and well-organized. We finished off the trip by celebrating our anniversary at the gorgeous Blue Lagoon!

Enjoying fall foliage with kids in Oregon

Oregon's fall foliage typically is at its best in mid-late October, but the actual peak time varies depending on where in the state you are. This blog has frequently updated information on where the best foliage is in various parts of the state: http://oregonfallfoliage.wordpress.com

This drive is beautiful at almost every time of the year with its waterfalls and views of the Columbia River. If you visit in mid-October, you also will be able to see big-leaf maples, cottonwood and Oregon ash change colors.

The fruit loop is a 35-mile scenic drive through forests, orchards, and farmland. On many occasions during the year (including in late October), there are events where you can stop at farms to see the animals, sample fruit and wine and meet the people. And in the fall, there's beautiful foliage to go along with everything else! http://www.hoodriverfruitloop.com/index.html

Klamath Ranger District Klamath Falls, Oregon

Comment:
The Upper Klamath Canoe Trail is a 9.5 mile marked trail that you access by canoe. You can see many types of birds and enjoy views of marsh, open lake and forest. In the fall, the forests change to fall colors and are a good place to see foliage in a unique setting!
