Christmas Fun at SeaWorld

Starting off the Christmas season with a trip or two to SeaWorld is a must for us. Here are a few of the shows you will see during SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration.

If the Polar Express is one of your Christmas must see movies then this will be one of your Christmas must see attractions.

"Hot, Hot, Hot Chocolate!"
Christmas isn't complete in our house unless we watch the Polar Express, but experiencing the Polar Express is even better!
There are two different experiences at SeaWorld. One is for the little kids and those with heart problems and the other is for the older kids and healthy adults. I would recommend the portion of the ride made for little kids because the ride created for adults made me sick, either way, I wasn't impressed with either one. I did like the exhibit that followed and my boys ages four and seven did as well.
Once we made our way out of the ride we were escorted into a Winter Wonderland.  On the right there was "snow".  It was actually a big block of ice made to look like snow, but in Florida, that's snow. To the left we saw a huge red sack of what appeared to be toys and yes, Santa Clause.  As we made our way to Santa we noticed some beautiful Beluga Whales swimming in the water.  At the time we were there a family was in the water with the whales feeding and petting them.  There was a ledge to the side that they were standing on so the family wasn't actually swimming with the whales.
Next, we visited Santa.  The boys were able to hug him and tell him about everything they hoped to receive for Christmas while my husband and I took pictures.  You can also have your pictures taken by one of the "elves" and purchase the picture once you are done walking through the exhibit.
Polar bears where up next.  They were asleep this time around but we enjoyed looking at them.  We read somewhere that the polar bear's fur is actually clear and just appears white because of the reflection of snow.  We were trying to see if that was actually the case but couldn't really tell.
After that the boys wanted to watch the walrus.  There were at least two and they were huge!  We watched them for at least thirty minutes. During that time the walrus got into a little fight which made things interesting.
We all had a blast and would definitely do this again!

Soulful Shamu Christmas show.

"Fabulous Christmas Show"
When you think of SeaWorld I know you automatically think of Shamu.  Well this is a Shamu show you do not want to miss.  While the whales are jumping, twirling and doing all sorts of amazing things in the water a soulful Christmas song is being sung by some amazingly talented people on center stage.
My boys ages 7 and 4 were mesmerized by the show.  If we could have stayed for the second showing we would have.  It's a must see!

Beautiful Christmas show on ice.

"Amazing Christmas On Ice"
This is a beautiful show that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  Usually, if I am going to watch ice skating I do it from the comfort of my own home and the ice skaters are on my television set.  Watching an ice skating show in real life was a new experience for me and my family.  I enjoyed the beauty and the talent that goes into ice skating and my husband and boys(ages 4 and 7) were just waiting for someone to fall.
Prior to the show a group of A Capella singers entertained us with some wonderful Christmas songs.  After the songs the ice skaters performed some magnificent Christmas routines and then everything was finished off by an amazing fireworks show.  This was the last show of the evening and my kids were tired but we were all glad we stayed.

A walrus, an otter and a few sea lions act out a Christmas story for you and your family. Need I say more?

"Christmas Time Funnies"
Clyde and Seamore always make us laugh which is why my boys ages 4 and 7 were really looking forward to their Christmas show.  There is a mime, an otter, a huge walrus, sea lions and a wonderful group of actors that make this an unforgettable show.
Make sure you arrive early because if you don't the mime who walks around near the front of the row may make you the center of attention.  Yes, everyone will be laughing at you...unless you can make them laugh with you.
We loved the animals because they were so silly.  The actors improv well with them.  Each show is based around the same story line,  but because no one really knows what the animals are going to do each show is unique. So grab some cotton candy sit back and prepare to laugh as you help Clyde and Seamore hunt for Christmas presents!
