About Me & My Family

I'm a full-time working mom of a three-year-old boy and also expecting a second child this spring. I'm originally from a tiny island in the Pacific called Saipan and now call Seattle my home. I try to stay out the rain, mostly.

make this grocery store more than just a pit stop

"The most awesome grocery store in Seattle"
You wouldn’t think that a grocery store would be any kind of escape from the Seattle rain, but this one is different. Nestled in a group of high-end stores like Gap and Hanna Anderson, this grocery store is a fantastic place to pick up a quick meal after you've gone shopping and provides free childcare while you peruse the aisles or take advantage of the large Starbucks and yummy bagel shop inside.

The place is great, the pizza is heavenly

"Bring your kiddos here for a yummy slice!"
This spacious restaurant has kid-loving parents for owners who don’t mind if your kiddos get rambunctious.  They offer fantastic pizza that truly is mouth-watering for parents and kiddos alike.  The hip soundtrack that wafts through the air blends with the scrumptious smells and provides the perfect pizza heaven.

Not just a mall, but a lifesaver!

"Settle down with the family at Southcenter"
The food court at Southcenter Mall has the requisite selection of restaurants and fast food joints, but whoever designed the area definitely had families in mind.  There’s a small section for kids to eat, complete with small chairs and table.  When you’re done eating, head to the first floor for another great mall jewel—the children’s free playspace, where kids can run around with reckless abandon, and when you’re a tot, is there any other way to travel?

Here, kids are never too young to learn how to master the art of pinball.

"Ice cream plus pinball equals amazing!"
A brightly colored gem in Seattle that offers an array of delicious, constantly updated flavors that will satisfy appetites of any age.  Not only is the ice cream out-of-this-world-awesome (I’m sure “galactic insane” is a flavor), but another draw is the phenomenal offering of vintage and recent pinball games, video games and works from local artists.  Not only can I share a great scoop with my toddler, but I can also show him my awesome Super Mario Bros moves.

Where to eat as a family while feeling like an adult.

"Where to eat with kids and still feel like a grown-up"
If you want to bring your children to a restaurant and still feel like an adult, this is the place to go.  This Greek restaurant has great food and a fantastic wine selection so while the adults are sharing a plate of chicken souvlaki, the kids can entertain themselves in a very ample children’s play area.
