Top 10 US Princess Destinations

I have put together a list of fun places where moms and daughters alike will feel like princesses. Of course, you will find the obvious: the Magic Kingdom is on the list but you will also discover that you do not need necessarily to go to Europe to find castles that will make you feel like a princess.

Visit the only official royal residence in the US. A tip for the little princesses: you will help protect floors by donning Palace-supplied booties over your shoes, so please no high-heels!

Alexandria Bay, New York

Comment:
Princess: you castle will only be accessible by boat only. This will make your entrance even more royal!

Pretend you are the Queen of the Castle and can start your morning with a pastry from the Biltmore Bake Shop . You will then be ready to explore your royal Home and royal gardens. Pretend you are the Queen of France Marie-Antoinette and stop by River Bend Farm to spend some fun time in the farm, like the Queen liked to do.

No introduction needed. This is THE place where you can meet all the princesses, have breakfast with them, and parade in the theme park dressed as your favorite character. I know this is an easy one but you could not put together a list of princess destinations without including them. If you are looking for an upscale Disney experience, www.whimsicalworldtravel.com would help you make everything happen, they are the Disney Specialists.

"Love it but can be expensive"
It is clean, it is fun, everything is well organized and cheerful. We went there a couple of times and we always had a nice time, children and adults alike.
I am not going to repeat what other said, just that I went once at Christmas time and it was tastefully decorated. The Haunted Mansion had become the Nightmare before Christmas mansion and got my daughter screaming, she was so afraid. But as she stepped out of the ride, she wanted to go back again!
I just took a star off because of the pricing, it is quite a budget to eat there and stay at the hotels (we ended up staying at a non-disney hotel). And do not get me started on the souvenirs.
My tip: call them to ask them when are the least crowded day. We did that when we went there for Thanksgiving break and we avoided the crowd by following the customer service person advice.

"My daughter felt like a princess"
We stayed at the Excalibur when our oldest daughter was 2 at the time. She could not believe that she would be spending the night in a castle. This is the perfect hotel for young children as they still believe in Fantasy.
Our room was clean and we experienced quick check-in and check-out. We did not go to the children's attractions like the arcade since she was so young.

I do not really know what will top the cake! The pink dining room of the restaurant (Alex Madonna’s Gold Rush Steak House) or the kitsch but some much fun rooms that will make any girl feel like a princess. My picks: Victoria Garden, Sky Room (with the stairs to go to the upstairs bedroom), the Rose Room or the Madonna Suite. If you go there at Christmas time, the whole place is an enchantment.

"My kids still talk about it"
Staying at this hotel was a surprise for my husband's birthday. We stayed in the Safari Room, that has a Waterfall shower. The room was really big and very kitshy (but that's why you go there). My children are still talking about the room and are dreaming of going back and try the Pony Room. The swimming pool with the waterfalls and view of the valley is soothing. We had dinner at the restaurant. It was Christmas and the whole place was darling. The food was average and expensive though. I will definitely go back there one day (but will skip the dining experience)

Discover the magic of a fairy-tale garden. Canopied by majestic oak trees, Enchanted Woods has been taken over by the woodland fairies who live here and is transformed into a place of enchantment, mystery, and discovery.
