"New Sky Trail Ropes Course"
One of the best aspects to visiting MOSI is that they offer new and interesting exhibits all the time.  As of July 2011, MOSI added a Sky Trail Ropes Course which is absolutely wonderful for all of those adventurous folks out there!  There is a fee for this new activity.  You can opt to go on the Ropes Course without having to pay for the overall MOSI entrance fees or include the Ropes Course as a part of your visit to MOSI.

There are height and weight restrictions so children have to be at least 42" tall to go on the ropes course with an adult and at least 48" to go on their own.  There are 36 elements on about three different levels ranging from 12-36 feet off the ground.

You are buckled into a harness and have a safety line which you can hold onto if you lose your balance along the way.  We had an absolute blast climbing all around the metal structure.  My preschooler keeps asking when we can go back!  If you plan to go on the ropes course, try to do that first or as early in your day as can get hot and bright.  Earlier in the day, the ropes course is shaded by the IMAX dome which makes it nice.  Have fun!

"Educational art classes for kiddos"
We participated in a childrens art class and had a blast!  My daughter loves to draw and the teacher really took the time with each child to help them learn and expand on whatever skill level they had.  It was a joy to see the kiddos create and even better to see them proudly showing their work off at the end of the class.

"Amazing museum and architecture"
If you are a fan of Dali and his unusual artwork, then you have to plan a visit to this amazing museum!  On  January 11, 2011, the Dali unveiled a brand new museum which is an amazing architectural feast for the eyes.  It was built along the shores of Tampa Bay in downtown St. Petersburg.  Volunteers and some staff members offer incredible guided tours which are informative and fun.  There are educational programs for preschool and older kids.  The SurReal Friday events are popular with young professionals.
