This is a beautiful facility, amazing displays with a wide variety of marine life are on display! If you go, buy tickets in advance online and be prepared for crowds because this is the Disneyland of acquatic attractions!

Recently saved from closure, China Camp, a once thriving Chinese fishing village, has secluded beaches and hiking trails galore and many are crawling with deer, coyote, squirrels, and even wild turkeys.

The largest lake in Napa County, you can rent boats, jet skis and even houseboats here. Camping and all sorts of water activities are also popular in this area.

A nice little beach on the bay. Make sure to visit the Crab Cove Visitor Center, a samll interactive museum about the sea life in this corner of the San Francisco Bay.

Beautiful impressive mission, lovely gardens, a great way to get the kids in touch with California history --- especially if you have a fourth grader, whose curriculum will be focused on the missions for much of the school year!

Hiking trails for all ages and abilities, sweeping views of the coastline. This place is also filled with lore involving shipwrecks. Come back around January and get a glimpse of the Elephant seals who come ashore here to have their babies.

Comment:
Beautiful stretch of beach that is just a short walk from the charming Carmel village --- and like much of Carmel, it is very dog-friendly so feel free to take both your four and two legged kids!
