Spooky festivals and attractions for kids in Massachusetts

October is such a fun month! Festivals and events are happening every week-end all around the state culminating with a big Day on the last day of the month.
Make sure that the events you are going to are suitable for your children. Some children are more sensitive than others so it is not really a matter of age but rather how easily they can get scared.

On October 22,23,29 and 30 come enjoy the Fright Nights from 6 pm to 10 pm and do some pumpkin painting, costume parade, games and more. And good luck getting out of the maze.

Bigger kids will enjoy going through haunted trails on all Fridays and Saturdays in October from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, from 11 am to 4 pm, enjoy kids' trail, pony ride and pumkin painting. Kids will enjoy some face painting, balloon animals, and a costume contest. On Friday nights, enjoy some kids movies. On Saturday nights, enjoy some adult Halloween movies.

On October 29 and 30 from 11 am to 3 pm, come for Zoo Howl and enjoy creepy crafts, a trick or treat trail and a haunted maze. This is the perfect outing for toddlers and elementary aged children.

On October 29th from 10 am to 3 pm enjoy tours of the bat cave, face painting, hands on projects, as well as science experiments. And let's not forget some trick or treating throughout the museum for non-food prizes... I am wondering what kids will get.

This is a 1.5 mile walking tour, very family friendly for a mix of local history and ghosts stories.

This is definitely not for children who are scared of the dark. Pick your tour between the twilight lantern ghost tour, the sunset cemetery tour or the history tour. There are stairs to climb so forget the stroller.
