About Me & My Family

I am a mom of 3 wonderful little boys (one with special needs), a beautiful baby girl, and am married to the man of my dreams. I am very interested in incorporating learning into activities that we do, so a trip to the beach turns into a school field trip. Recently, we moved back to California after a brief move to Texas and feel blessed to be able to be involved in all facets of Christian Camping. Because my husband and I serve in full time ministry, we're lucky to be able to spend a lot of time around each other and our family, having exciting adventures and just living life, day by day. :)
Our Family's Travel Personality
adventurous, curious, structured, relaxed, independent, energetic, spontaneous, easy_going, scheduled, artsy
We Just Got Back From
Japan, Lake Tahoe, Camp! (Not on the same trip though) :)
Our Favorite Vacation Spot
Anywhere new where discoveries can be made! We're pretty frugal, so budget traveling is definitely the way we go. However, occationally, we do love to splurge too! :)
A Place We'd Love To Visit
Austrailia to scuba dive the barrier reef, a zero-gravity flight to experience weightlessness, ziplining and exploring a rainforest, exploring the vast glaciers in Alaska, just to name a few!
Favorite Vacation Memory
It's completely simple, but watching our 6 year old get selected to be a Jedi Knight at Disneyland. It's his "lifelong" dream and still today when someone asks him what he's going to be someday, he proudly answers, "A Star Wars Guy!"
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
Right after checking into our hotel, my 4 year old threw up in the middle of the floor on the carpet, all over his jammies, his lovey, and on his little brother. Thankfully, the hotel we were staying in had a laundromat that was open late, so a few hours later, and after some carpet scrubbing, everything was cleaned up and like new.

Shopping and Malls In Dallas/Ft. Worth!

You know that giddy feeling you got on Christmas morning when you knew Santa was coming soon?  Shivering in your bed partly from the sugar high, but also from the anticipation of all the new presents that would await you the next day.  As an adult that feeling still persists, but now it's in a tangible form that causes my husband to cringe and try to swipe my money when I tell him I'm heading for the stores.  The drive there makes my heart skip a beat and puts an instant smile on my face as the consumer in me dreams about the new items I'm about to bring home.  Of course, my money never goes as far as I hope, but it always keeps me coming back for more.  Below are some great malls and shopping centers where you can experience for yourself the jittery night-before-christmas sensation yourself.

You could spend an entire day at the NorthPark Mall shopping in luxury and designer stores, eating, visiting the public children's library located inside the mall, and taking part in some of the fun, fashion shows or special events.

Frisco, Texas

Stonebriar Centre Mall has a ton of family activities such as an indoor ice skating rink, a children's play area, a movie theater, and a carrousel! All of that and I haven't even mentioned the shopping. You'll find stores such as J Crew, Abercrombie and Fitch, Macy's, a Lego Store, Motherhood Maternity, Michael Kors, and Pillow Pets.

You don't have to worry about getting your exercise here! One trip around the indoor mall equals one mile so load your kiddos up and enjoy LEGOland Discovery Center, the Aquarium, all of the wonderful retailers and shopping as well as special cooking events and demonstrations that take place often.

Fun shopping for mom's looking for a new look. Shop MAC and Sephora for cosmetics, Anthropologie for clothing, gifts, and home furnishings, Crate & Barrel for unique home items, and Aritzia for the younger, modern woman.

For your more luxurious shopping, the Galleria in Dallas is the place to go. It's a designers and name brand shopping center combined with an art museum feel. Some kid-friendly stores and dining include the American Girl Boutique and Bistro, Gap Maternity, The Children's Place, and more.
