Mother's Day Brunch in Austin, TX

Brunch has been a Mother's Day tradition for me pretty much my whole life.  We have continue the tradition with our children.  The following are my favorite brunch spots in Austin and most do a "special" Mother's Day menu.

Comment:
A little expensive but if you want to give Mom the royal treatment it is the best!

"Wonderful Sunday Brunch Buffet"
This is my favorite brunch in Austin.  It is super expensive but the food options are well worth the price.  It is $49 per adult and $20 per child.  We only go here on very special occasions (Easter or Mother's Day).  Mimosas are included in the price.  The restaurant is beautiful and there are also plenty of child friendly items on the buffet.

"Brunch at the Historic Green Pastures"
Green Pastures Restaurant is an Austin Landmark - in more ways than one.  The building itself is a historic Victorian home.  It functions as a restaurant and a wedding/special event venu.  They do a brunch every Sunday morning with holidays having a special menu.  The food is great and family friendly.  The grounds are gorgeous and your kids can run and play if they need to burn off some energy.  There are peacocks that live on the grounds and they usually perform for guests.  A very special place to have a special meal.

"Hudson's on the Bend for Brunch"
Hudson's is a wonderful restaurant - that happens to be very accomodating for children on holidays and at special events.  This is a pretty adult restaurant but we have taken our kids there once a year or so since birth.  That being said - they always do something that isn't on the menu at our request and are very very polite about it.  They have a neat outdoor garden where much of their herbs and produce come from.  Our kids like to walk through and play.  It is a little on the expensive side but great for special occasions.

"Garrido's Family Friendly Inventive Food"
Garrido's is one of our favorite places to eat out in Austin.  We like good food and want to expose our kids to it as much as possible.  We have been here several times with our kids and they are always happy.  Good brunch, lunch and dinner.  You can order their tacos a la carte too so it is very affordable but in a nice setting. Margaritas aren't bad either ;)

"Great Brunch Spot"
Moonshine is a nicer restaurant in Austin.  Very close to downtown and the convention center.  I would probably not take my kids here for dinner.  However lunch and brunch are great and have tons of kid friendly options.  All you can eat brunch buffett is worth the money!!!

"Great Restaurant - Casual Kid Friendly Downtown"
Hickory Street is a very reasonably priced restaurant in downtown Austin.  It is convenient to the Capitol and other downtown landmarks.  The burgers are great as are the soup, potato and salad bars.  They also happen to have a good Sunday brunch!  Great kid options are available as well :)
