We are a family of four that LOVES to travel!!! Our goal in life is to see everything in the world that we possibly can. My job, as a stay-at-home mom, is to make each and every trip we take as cheap and enjoyable as possible. I do TONS of research before trips to save us the most money.
I believe that any sort of travel can be done with kids of all ages. I try to include tips in my reviews that have something to do with babies/little kids, because I know I've struggled to find advice regarding attractions and babies.

Favorite Vacation Memory
Our favorite memory was watching our daughter feed the sharks at a little hole in the wall zoo in Branson, MO. It was the cheapest little place, and looked more like a warehouse from the outside, but it was so neat! We got to feed stingrays and sharks, hold lizards and snakes, and play in a free arcade. Our then 18 month old had the time of her life!
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
We rented a house at Table Rock Lake, MO last Spring. We had a wonderful time, but had some pesky neighbors! We caught them taking pictures of our daughter while she swam, then caught them on their front porch taking pictures of our license plates and my husband as he loaded up the car. We confronted them and it turned into a huge argument. Needless to say, the owner of the house heard about it from us!

Indoor Fun for Kids on Bad Weather Days in St. Louis, MO
St. Louis: home of Mother Nature's mood swings! I've always lived in St. Louis, and I can say that there has not been one year of predictable weather. You never know what is going to happen outside, no matter what month you're in. Luckily, St. Louis is home to countless indoor attractions! Here are my favorites.

"Rainy day? Go to the Science Center!"
St Louis weather can be unpredictable. On days when the weather isn't cooperating, the Science Center is the perfect place to go! It's free to get in and explore the abundance of kid-friendly and educational exhibits. Everything is hands on and there's plenty of space for kids to run around and burn some energy. The Omnimax, a HUGE theater, costs extra but is a must-do experience. The kids will be in awe! My daughter's favorite exhibit is the life-size dinosaurs. Talk about cool!!

"SO much for kids in one place"
A little pricey- but they do have free Fridays a couple times per month. There's so much to do it's a little overwhelming at first. A bubble room, a water room, a fishing pond, giant slides, giant dollhouse, enormous soft building blocks, sand tables, jungle gyms, static ball, play town, I could go on! My favorite: an entire area designed especially for little babies!! Another cool feature: order your lunch when you get there, then pick it up and have a picnic whenever you're ready for it! Healthy and inexpensive food.

"Wonderful, but hot!! Wear layers!"
The Butterfly House is a very fun place for people of all ages. There is a display of different bugs before you go in. The actual butterfly garden is the perfect setting for beautiful pictures; just don't expect to stay inside for a long period of time. It's so hot and humid for the butterflies, it's almost unbearable. So make sure you wear layers to take off! Little kids like it, but it can be hard for them to understand that you can't touch the butterflies. In my opinion, the carousel is better! It's only $1 per ride! Can't beat that!Advice: there are coupons in the St.Louis area Entertainment Book for the Butterfly House and for the carousel

Great kid outlets indoors!

"Great for kid/baby shopping"
My family loves this mall for 3 reasons: the food court, the ice rink where the St. Louis Blues practice, and the abundance of baby clothing stores. Old Navy, Gap Outlet, Gymboree Outlet, Children's Place, Carter's and Baby Depot in one place make it possible to buy an entire wardrobe on the cheap in just one visit. The giant indoor playground makes it perfect for bad weather days. There is a big carousel in the middle of the food court. There's also a unique toy store. Moms also enjoy Bed Bath and Beyond and Marshall's.
