My 1 year old son getting his first stomach virus while on a weeklong vacation in Seattle and Bellingham. He threw up the whole time and we spent 5 days straight in a hotel room together. Not too fun!

"Lots of Fun!"
This place continues to grow.  It is a great time - it is pricey too but if your kids are old enough to really enjoy it it is totally worth it.  There are tons of different water slides, tubing "rivers", a wave pool, surf pool, kiddie pool, the list goes on and on.  There are also lots of places to stay nearby so you don't feel like you have to pack it all in on one visit.  I gave it 4 stars based on the price but regardless it's a fun place to visit.

"Great Pool for Kids and Adults"
Barton Springs is a spring fed man made pool.  It is HUGE!!!  And a great place to swim!  It is quite cold (68 to 70 degrees year round) but in the 100 degree temperatures in Austin make it feel great.  There is a very shallow end for small kids and a very very deep part for good swimmers.  I spend a lot of my childhood there and expect my kids to do the same.

Comment:
You could spend 2 or 3 days at Sea World of TX and still not see the whole thing. This place is huge! Within the park is a complete water park. This place is great for kids. It has cabanas you can rent to stay in the shade and lots of different water activities for the kids. Total FUN!

"Krause Springs - Natural Pool"
Nice cool place to camp and swim.  There are 32 springs on the property, and several feed the manmade pool and the natural pool which flows into Lake Travis. It's a refreshing treat to swim in the Springs during the hot summers of Texas! There is primitive tent camping as well as 24 RV sites with water and electricity available. There are also Butterfly Gardens to stroll through.

"Good Small Beach"
This beach is great for kids.  It is small and not crowded most of the time.  We usually don't go to the beach for longer than 2 hours since our kids are so young (3y and 20 months) and we go early in the day.  Holidays seem to be a little more crowded but that is to be expected.  It is also pretty clean.  There are a few areas for kids to play (a playscape shaped like a pirate ship) and covered picnic tables.  It's also nice because there are no hotels or condos on the beach - it's just a beach park that everyone has to drive or walk to.  Our kids love it.

"Fun Hassle Free Park"
This park is so much fun.  It's so close to our house that we go quite often.  We always find parking and there are plenty of places for parents to hang out while the kids run around in the sprinklers.  The only downside is that there is not much shade near the water but as long as you have sunscreen you will be fine....and you can't beat the awesome view of Austin's Lady Bird Lake and downtown.

"Little Swimming For Everyone"
This is a public water park owned by the City of  Round Rock which is just north of Austin.  They have a lazy river, water slides, beach, geysers, and on and on.  Super fun for kids of all ages.  It's also pretty inexpensive and they still take credit cards!
