What a wonderful experience. The Noah's Ark exhibit was so well thought out and executed. The time and thought that went into building all the animal the ark the experience, all out of recycled materials, is simply mind blowing.
My daughter who is 2.5 had a wonderful time. We stayed the entire 2 hour time reservation. She was busy from beginning to end. They say if you can reach it you can touch it. It is very hands on. In the first room they get you started by allowing you to make some music with the drums (elephant), spinning zebras, alligators made from old violin cases...AMAZING! The next room is about the storm. Kids are allowed to crank and wind the levers to make rain and lightning. Then to the part my daughter loved the most. Climbing on the "ark" There are a couple of climbing options to get high in the sky and look down on us parents. It suggest 4 years and up, so I went with her the first couple of times, then she was good to go by herself. The last stop was to make a paper bird out of recycled material and paste it on a banner for the museum to hang when it's all filled up. Through out the experience you can also find little puzzles, building blocks, and other smaller activities, like having a meal with fake food, little pots, and a whole lot of imagination.
This was one of my favorite days. The museum is so well set up and welcoming. We will return again and again.
We went on a Thursday, when the museum is free for all. You must go online the Monday before you want to attend and reserve tickets.
