About Me & My Family

I’m a single mom with one 3 yr old boy. My two passions are traveling and raising my son. I love being a mom and there’s no place I’d rather be then with my son. I work full time and love to exercise.

Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
I’ll never forget flying home from Honolulu in first class with my 1.6 month old son on Delta. The plane did not have any milk for the flight and even though I boarded early not one person thought to inform me that the plane was not stocked with milk. Cash was still drinking from a bottle at this time and freaked out over having to go 5 hours without milk in his bottle. This old cranky lady was loudly complaining behind me the whole flight home about how she was tired of hearing my son cry (as if I wasn’t). I wanted to scream (but did not) at every employee of the airline for not informing me the plane had no milk until we were up in the air.

The romantic getaway is a great place to go with the kids. Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is located 25 miles south of San Francisco in Princeton-on-the-Sea. This waterfront gathering place overlooks a famous big-surf area called Mavericks and is a beautiful place to bring the family for a fun evening filled with music and great cuisine (plus fantastic house-brewed beer for the adults!). There is a gorgeous dog-friendly outdoor patio with heated lamps and live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is also happy hour everyday and other weekly specials and events.

"Cheers to Half Moon Bay Brewing Company!"
Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is a lively, family friendly oceanfront restaurant and pub situated on Pillar Point Harbor in Princeton-by-the-Sea California, an enchanting beach town just five minutes north of Half Moon Bay and 30 miles south of San Francisco.

The restaurant, which features live music and dancing with a gorgeous ocean view, was packed with families and happy couples. During my meal, I observed a smiling dad feeding his little girl French Fries and groups of merry friends drinking to toasts of health on the patio. The brewery is a good spot to kick back with your children, enjoy an ice cold beer and a meal, and take in a view of the Pacific Ocean.

We ordered Mavericks Steak (9-10 oz Beef Petite Tenderloin), Chicken Fajitas, and a grill cheese sandwich from the kids menu. After dinner, we ordered the chef's special dessert; his signature “Mavericks Beeramisu,” made with handcrafted Mavericks porter and stout.

HMB Brewing Company is located next to the famous Mavericks surf break, home to some of the world´s toughest big wave surfing and the annual Mavericks Surf Competition, it’s also home to Chef Gaston Alfaro, the talent behind the brewery’s savory menu.

The most wonderful thing about Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is its very casual and relaxed atmosphere. At one point or another, all parents have all experienced a child screaming at a restaurant, pounding the table with silverware, or generally causing a ruckus. If this describes your kids, consider dining here. Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is so kid-friendly, you won't have to worry about your children being loud or annoying to other customers.

Half Moon Bay Brewing Company provided my family with a discounted meal for this review. They did not request that I express any particular point of view and my reviews always reflect my honest opinions.

"Save your money"
The animals here looked depressed. Every time I go to this zoo I want to cry. The animal’s habitats are old and decrepit. During our hot summers this dilapidated zoo barely provides the animals with enough shade. The orangutans especially look depressed. Ugh, I'm getting sad just thinking about the zoo.
