This is actually one of my favorite museums in San Francisco. They have wonderful temporary exhibitions that will make you fall in love with the Jewish culture.

"Their exhibitions are always interesting"
We really like this museum. I love the downtown location and easy access via public transportation. They have nice exhibitions all the time and there is a nice turnaround. The exhibitions and galleries are small and therefore not overwhelming. I can not remember my children complaining about anything they have seen there. Once, they had an exhibition on Jewish plates and I thought that would be a turn off for my children. They actually loved it. Less is more and I think they always get it right. We loved the Maurice Sendak, Chagall, Andy Warhol exhibitions. Their latest is Curious George saves the Day. Well worth seeing. The CJM team has created a suitcase full of activities to get the children interested in the exhibition and it proves to be a success. My children had a great time exploring the exhibition using the tools provided to them and ended up strolling it on their own, giving me some time to do the same.

This is the place to go in San Francisco to experience the Asian Art at its best. Check out their calendar for their Family Programs that are held regularly.

"Nice museum"
I have seen beautiful exhibitions at the Asian Art Museum. I wish I knew more about Asian Art so I can appreciate more what is showed in this museum. I visited it with my daughter's class for a field trip and the amount of information I learned from the docent was phenomenal. I wish I could do that everytime I go there.

The Chinese New Year Parade is the biggest and the most impressive outside of Asia. It is held usually in February and it is a not miss event if you are in town.

"There is more to see than the Parade!"
San Francisco Chinatown is going to be bubbling with activities till after the Chinese New Year! You can check on things to do on my blog www.travelismorefunwithkids.com and read my post (and more to come) on things to do in SF as well as crafts and Chinese traditions.
