About Me & My Family

I'm a mostly SAHM who works 2 hours a day at my daughter's school & is heavily involved in the PTO (which allows me to actually use my MBA for something other than the family budget). We LOVE to travel! We have been to over 93 cities in 13 countries. We've gone from freebies & cheap adventures, all the way to the most decadent...whatever we can afford at the time! We love to visit historical sites wherever we go & we use travel opportunities to teach our daughter about local history & culture. Now that my daughter is older, we have been able to embarked on new & exciting advantures that involve more strenuous activity.
Our Family's Travel Personality

We Just Got Back From

Our Favorite Vacation Spot
Maui & Italy
A Place We'd Love To Visit
Greece, Russia, Prague
Favorite Vacation Memory
My daughter's 8th birthday...we spent a Girl's Only Weekend at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. This was the first year she agreed to go on the thrill rides & we ended up going on Tower of Terror, California Screamin' & Space Mountain over & over again. She screamed herself hoarse but had the biggest smile I'd ever seen.
Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
My then 8-month old daughter had a MAJOR diaper blowout on a road trip between Madison, WI & Chicago, IL. It was THE mother of all blowouts! Thank goodness for the kindhearted employees at the truck stop who allowed us to use the showers & provided us with free soap & towels!

"Nice Family Picnic Spot"
Harveston Lake is a 17.1 acre public park located within the Harveston Community. There is a lot to do here - walking & bike paths, playgrounds, sports park, catch & release fishing, picnicing, duck feeding & motorized boat rentals (for a fee).

There is plenty of free parking around the lake. Bring bread for the ducks. Kids get a kick out of feeding them!

There are two large playgrounds - one on the west side of the lake & one on the south side by the sports park.

Please be cognizant that you are in a residential neighborhood - patrol your trash, keep the noise level at an acceptable level & clean up after your pets!

"Newer park in south Temecula"
This 44 acre park includes:

•4 lighted synthetic turf soccer fields
•4 lighted ball fields
•4 lighted basketball courts
•Concession stand
•Restrooms
•Tot lot/playground
•Picnic areas
•BBQs

It is in a newly developed area of south Temecula, so the trees are small & the grounds are not nearly as luch as other area parks. Also, it backs up to Pechanga Parkway, so you end up with heavy casino traffic on the weekends.

"Tons of facilities"
This is one of the largest parks in Temecula. With 128 acres of rolling hills & trees, there's something for everyone. You will find 5 unlit ball fields, 5 lit ball fields, 2 lit football/soccer fields, inline skate rink, gazebo, playground, picnic shelter, BBQs & restrooms. The park is adjacent to the Community Recreation Center with a heated outdoor pool, indoor basketball courts, teen arcade, billiards & rooms for various community events.

There are special seasonal events like the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the spring & Harvest Festival & Carnival in the fall.

"No play areas"
Town Square Park is a very petty park but there are no play structures for the kids. It serves well for events &  company gatherings (my husband's work has their annual picnic here). There are grassy areas, a bike path & an ampitheater. There are also covered picnic tables. It's newer & clean, but not too much to do unless there is an event.
