About Me & My Family

We are a French family who has been living in the US for 15 years. We spend all our summers in France, visiting our family as well as other European countries. I write travel books and I am having lots of fun doing that. So far I published two: 'Your Guide to Visit Paris for Free' and 'Your Guide to Visit San Francisco for Free', both available on Amazon.com

Worst Travel Moment With My Kids:
Thais having a very smelly bowel movement in her diaper while listening to our guide at the Sydnedy Opera House and throwing up right after that on the beautiful Sydney Opera Floor (she was 4 months old)

15 Family-Friendly Factory Tours you do not want to miss

Our family love touring factories. It feels like lifting the veil of secrecy. We always learn so many fun and useful information and we go back home with a new appreciation of the brand and/or product.
For children, it can also be the starting point of a conversation on how people can support the country economy by buying products manufactured in the US.

As a reminder:
- check out if there is a minimum age requirement for children
- make reservations if necessary
- Arrange to tour during a weekday as machinery may not be operating during the week-end.

This will be a fascinating tour. It is unbelievable to see these huge airplanes being assembled and in pieces in front of you. Be aware of the height requirement before you go.

Tour a factory that is unique in the US, there is no other US manufacturer of whistles. You will get to know how the ball gets inside the whistle and brag about it to your friends. Call in advance to schedule a tour, tours are held for 15 people minimum and if you are less than 15, you will be add to an existing group. Each visitor will receive a free whistle at the end.

It will not take much convincing to have Dad come to this tour. And keep your fingers crossed so you are the lucky one who gets to start a Corvette for the first time when it is out of the assembly line.
