"Rest your head elsewhere"
What a difference time makes, and not in a good way. We had stayed here several years ago and had a wonderful experience. Things have changed drastically.
Our room was disgusting. It had a horrible odor and there were bugs. Not the cockroach and bed bug type of bugs, but ants, flying things, I killed more bugs than one should ever have to kill inside. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. They also allow pets and we had a parking dog 2 rooms down.
The rooms also have not seen a remodel since at least the early 80's.
I find it such a shame that the room was so awful because it is in such contrast to the property it is located on. We had a pond view room and the pond is truly beautiful. Behind the pond is a playground for the kids. There is an indoor and outdoor pool and you have acess to the indoor splashpark at the neighboring Double Tree. They offer family activities such as Family Bingo. There is an onsite bakery and restaraunt. It is really set up for families to enjoy.
Until they do a major overhaul, I would not recommend staying here.
