"Best Hotel on the Island in season"

We stay at this hotel in the summer months.  They have an outdoor pool that stays open late.  There is also a dock to fish or crab off of.  The balconies face the water and there are ducks, birds and seagalls.  Every morning we woke up and walked to the main office for our continental breakfast, where they actually made waffles for us.  The owner is a total sweetheart and remembers the kids from year to year.

"I got Taken"

Stay here if you like.  No internet service to speak of no matter what they say and no matter how you bring it to the owners attention.  Oh, your computer will recognize a signal but not strong enough to check your email or do a google search.  Iphone won't ever recognize a signal.  Not the cleanest place and not the quietest place.  Wood balconies above, below, or to the side make a for unpleasant sleeping environment.  The worst was being taken on room stay.  When you get there, they charge your credit card.  They gotcha!  We stayed 3 days but had to leave the last day.  They applied a non-published rule they say they always apply.  You had to cancel three days in advance or get charged for the room.  All we saw or had given to us in an email was if you can't show up at all, there was a three day cancellation.  That is normal.  Getting taken like we did is not normal practice.  Stay at your own risk!!
