We usually stay in a different location while staying in Red River; however, some procrastination on my part lead me to a dire consequence: no room at ANY of the hotels. So, in my search for someplace to stay, I stumbled upon the Valley Condos.
The Condos are along a small part of the river and are in a residential community. A baseball diamond is right beside the condos and there's a small playground just in front of the front desk. The condos are individually owned but leased together. We stayed in a two bedroom condo. It had one and half baths, two full size beds and a pull-out bed in the living room. The kitchen was stocked with the needed pots, pans and utensils (so if you want to cook and avoid the cost of eating out - you can).
We actually only ate out once or twice during our stay. With small kiddos, it's just easier to NOT fight them for the long lines that often occur in restaurants when traveling.
Overall, it was a great space for us. I did feel that the quiet atmosphere was fantastic, but being the mommy of small kids I didn't want their chaos to disturb the others who'd come there for quiet as well.
