We stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time. The cabins here were clean, nice, and updated. Plenty of hiking, white water rafting and animal sightings. During the night, we had a bear walk through our resort, but the resort kept on top of it and no one was at risk. We went in June and it turned out being a little chilly at that time there.
We just got back from this place. It is a really neat family friendly place to stay and play. We rented one of their older cabins. It was reasonably priced and had a full kitchen. Out the back door of the cabin was a barbecue pit as well as a fire pit. Laundry facilities are onsite as well. There is a small restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner (mainly barbecue) and alcohol on site. It was great to be able to have a home base and go out to play during the days.
The resort offers rafting down the river (we did the uber kid friendly route) as well as fishing excursions. There is a small stocked pond on site for the little guys as well.
It is 20 minutes or so away from Crested Butte which is the coolest little mountain town. Very down to earth ski resort area. CB has a lot of good restaurants, a few shops and one of the coolest playgrounds ever. The playground has 3 different playscapes and is surrounded by mountains. Just breathtaking!
Can't express how much fun this place is!!!
