"The perfect place to stay with kids"
We stayed at the Platinum with our toddlers on a family weekend in Vegas (to prove that it can be done and it can be done fun!). It was the perfect place to stay. First of all, its non smoking. I can't tell you have nice it is to sleep in a hotel in Vegas and not wake up feeling sick from all the smoke. Second- the rooms are beautiful and they have full kitchens which is a great way to save money. Having a fridge to store juice and milk and a stove to make breakfast on is fantastic when you have little ones. The other great thing about the rooms is that there is a living area so when your kids go to bed at 8PM, you don't have to go to bed along with them! This is always a huge plus for me when I am traveling. I enjoy a couple hours of peace and quiet before bed. The hotel pool is indoor/outdoor so its great for kids when it is cold outside or if you want to keep them out of the mid day sun. There is a restaurant on site with good food. The hotel is off strip but it took us about 5 minutes to walk there. I truly did love this stay.

It's helpfulLocation. The Platinum Hotel and Spa is located one and one half blocks off of the Strip in Las Vegas, Nev., two miles from the Las Vegas Convention Center and less than three miles from the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The Fremont Experience is six miles away.
Hotel Features. The Platinum Hotel and Spa is a smoke free, non gaming property. Kilawat restaurant specializes in steaks and seafood with edgy American specialty items with a view of the strip. STIR, the coffee bar and lounge, features cocktails and Starbuck's coffee. The hotel includes an outdoor/indoor pool, a 24 hour fitness center and a rooftop terrace. The outdoor pool area includes lounge chairs. A great way to pass the evenings is seated poolside or in the pool's spa tub, where the Las Vegas Strip's evening panorama unfolds in all its neon glory. The Well Spa offers facials and massage therapies. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for a fee.
Guestrooms. The 255 guestrooms at The Platinum Hotel and Spa feature outdoor terraces, and select rooms offer mountain or Las Vegas Strip views at an additional cost. Beds include pillowtop mattresses and duvets. The all suite hotel offers gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances. Living rooms include sofa beds. Bathrooms feature jetted tubs, showers and double vanities. Select rooms include 42 inch, plasma screen televisions. All rooms offer high speed wired and wireless Internet access and MP3 player docking stations. In room safes are provided. Select rooms offer fireplaces, and washers and dryers.
Expert Tip. STIR mixologists offer a unique take on the classic martini with their Edible Martini Menu. For example, the Meyer Lemon Tini consists of a delectable marriage of dark rum, Meyer lemon cake, lime, coconut and ginger cookies.
