We trekked across Tennessee this summer to visit friends and attend a wedding. We decided to spend a couple nights in Pigeon Forge for some family fun before heading back home .
Our stay at the Inn at Christmas Place turned into one of the highlights of our trip! It was so much fun to immerse ourselves in Christmas in the middle of July! The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. The staff members wear name tags that are changed daily to reflect how many more days until Christmas! Fun!
Christmas decorations are everywhere and the kids enjoyed exploring the hotel as soon as we checked in. They have a nice indoor pool and outdoor pool with slide, a delicious and extensive hot buffet breakfast daily and cookies served every night. Coffee (including a Christmas blend, of course) and lemonade were available in the lobby everyday. When we returned to our room each night, my children's stuffed animals were in playful arrangements on their bed, each with a Hershey Kiss on its head.
There were only a few downsides, and they were minor. We had a room with a great little balcony facing the main street through Pigeon Forge. While the view was nice, we found it to be loud at night. You could hear lots of street noise and especially motorcycles coming through at all hours. Next time we will request a room on the other side of the hotel, or possibly on a higher floor. The other small complaint was that the room where they serve breakfast is very small and gets really crowded. They have opened up conference room space for overflow seating which is nice, but you have to get everything to eat in the other room and carry it over. Not a big deal, but it takes a couple trips with kids and then back again for drinks. So, it felt a bit hectic. This could be helped a ton if they would include a drink station in one of those rooms.
But like I said, those things were minor and we can't wait to go again. Our trip was brief so we really didn't get to enjoy everything at the hotel like their daily activities (we missed a gingerbread house workshop that sounded fun), visits from Santa or the nightly carols from their giant Glockenspiel (a huge cuckoo clock).
Don't hesitate to stay here, especially if you have children who love Christmas!
The Inn at Christmas Place
119 Christmas Tree Lane,
Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
The Inn at Christmas Place is an awesome place to stay! It's Chirstmas themed but not overly done so that you want to throw up. The rooms are very nice, well sound proofed, clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfy. The location is great. The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub are very relaxing. They have free breakfast with made to order omelets... made by elves of course!! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus every night they serve milk and cookies in the lobby!! The price is a little high during November and December but is more affordable in the spring.
