We drove down from Las Vegas and stayed here while we explored Grand Canyon National Park a bit. We enjoyed our stay at the Grand - it's not luxurious but it's clean, comfortable and fun. We enjoyed the South-West theme of the hotel particularly in the restaurant where there was live entertainment during dinner hour. My 9 year old thoroughly enjoyed listening to cowboys singing while she ate and the music reminded me of my youth growing up in rural Canada. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay and it exceeded my expectations - my daughter is still raving about how good the bread was more than a week later. In fact, she asked last night if we could please go back to the Grand Canyon and stay at the same hotel so that she could have the bread again! Loved the big stone fireplace in the lobby - a lovely area to sit and relax in front of the crackling fire when mornings and evenings are still a bit chilly. The location of the hotel is very convenient for visits to the Grand Canyon's South Rim - it only took us a few minutes to get there so it was ideal. And there was free WIFI!!! - which I loved even though the signal was a bit weak at times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Grand Canyon National Park - with or without kids!
