The Stagecoach Inn hotel in historic Salado was founded in 1861 as the Shady Villa. The Van Bibber family purchased it in 1941, beginning the heritage of Salado's Stagecoach Inn and it's famous dining room. Our menu is still given verbally and the Hush Puppies and Strawberry Kiss desserts are world renowned and prepared fresh daily. A highlight of the Stagecoach Inn is the 27 Hole, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed, Mill Creek Golf Club. Mill Creek is located within minutes of the Stagecoach. Reader's Choice Award winner as "Best Restaurant", the historic Stagecoach Inn dining room has won The Taste of Texas for its delicious roast prime rib. From steaks to seafood, our original recipes are served as three and four course meals in a cozy, rustic atmosphere with Texas-style hospitality. We are honored to continue the tradition of creating memorable experiences for all to share and cherish. The Inn itself consists of 82 guest rooms and 4 townhomes at Mill Creek Golf Course. Our large pool and landscaped grounds make this a perfect vacation or retreat destination.
