"Perfect family vacation choice"
It’s “home on the ranch” Palm Springs style at the historic Smoke Tree Ranch. Best defined as friendly, casual, and understated, this is one of the most perfect family vacation choices in the Coachella Valley. Enjoying a
history as old as Palm Springs, this approximately 400-acre ranch, home to eighty-five “colonists” (the residents, actually), is the desert’s best-kept secret. Twenty acres are devoted to fifty-six comfortable ranch cottages.
Activities abound, including tennis at first-rate facilities, hiking, birding, nature trails, swimming pool, hot tub, fitness center, three-hole practice golf course, and, best of all, organized activities for kids at Camp Kawea. Adding to the vintage ambience is an old-fashioned playground. Ranch guests savor cookouts in the nearby Indian Canyons, marshmallow roasts, cowboy crooners (remember those soothing sounds?), scavenger hunts, and even bonfires. Breakfast rides and cookouts are on
the calendar of events, too. The bountiful buffets will keep the family energized, and that’s what is needed to explore this pristine desert paradise.

Rates start at $396 per cottage double occupancy (Full American Plan—all meals, lodging, and gratuities). Children ages five through eleven are $39 each in same cottage as parents. No charge for children younger than age five. Be sure to ask about multiroom cottages and family units. Outstanding venue for family groups and reunions.

The Ranch is blessed with irreplaceable desert shrubs, Smoke Trees, and breathtaking acreage touched by undisturbed wildflowers.
Business meetings and retreats are memorable experiences on the Ranch, as are family reunions and leisure visits. Our staff is efficient and hospitable, prepared and happy to assist you.
