"Safe & Super Kid Friendly"

The Sheraton Kanapali goes beyond romance and offers guests with children an environment full of activities with very kid-friendly club at little or no cost to parents a lazy river and kid menus at all restaurants.

During whale season Kanapali provides a unique educational opportunity with tours for whale watching.

If you get bored of hotel foods you can head out to the pizzeria located on the right as you are leaving Kanapali boulevard.

Note that all rooms have a mini fridge take advantage of it by heading to the nearest supermarket and stocking up with snacks which in general will be more expensive than in the mainland but cheaper than the mini-bar or hotel store.

"Lots of great kids activities"

This is a great hotel! The rooms are nice, the staff is very accommodating & the beach is awesome. The only drawback is that the property is enormous! We had to take 3 sets of elevators to get to our room. Walking from one end of the property to the other can be an ordeal.

Our first room smelled a little like mildew/mold (duh - tropical climate & all, but for the money, we didn't want to deal with it) so they moved is to a larger, ocean front room for free!

That said, there are great FREE daily family activities (lei making, coconut painting, family scavenger hunts, koi fish feeding, etc.). The pool is very nice & has an awesome kid's lagoon that is shallow. Get poolside very early to reserve a covered spot, though!

Be sure to catch the nighly cliff diving ceremony - it's free (like must of the resort's activities) & very cool. A diver lights a bunch of torches, blows a conch shell, then dives into the ocean!

The property is far from the airport, but close to Lahaina, which has a plethera of shops & restaurants.

"Great beachside place to stay"

Great place to stay! Very convenient location and helpful staff. Probably the best beach for kids on Kaanapali as it is in a cove so waves are not too fierce. It is also a great snorkeling spot. The crib in the room was less than impressive, but did the trick. We are new parents and had to find a medication for our infant after hours. We pushed the button on our room phone for the main desk and they gave me names and numbers for several pharmacies to try.
