This hotel in downtown Sitka gets four stars for it's lovely location. It sits right on the harbor, within easy walking distance of everything in town, including the historical sites like the Russian Bishop's House, the historical park with totem poles, and the museums.
Don't expect anything fancy, but the rooms are perfectly adequate and the beds are comfortable. The on-site restaurant serves a great dinner (sit on the deck overlooking the harbor in summer), but does not currently offer breakfast. For breakfast, head across the street to the Sitka Hotel.
The only downside is the noise at the street level at night. The hotel is adjacent to several local bars, and we did hear a lot of street noise (even on a Tuesday night!). The staff is aware of this, and guests can pick up a white noise machine at the front desk if needed.
There is a continental breakfast offering on-site, but it's not complimentary. We recommend getting a full breakfast at the Sitka Hotel!
