"Old n crappy"
If i were broke and had almost no money then maybe i would stay here again.... They cost too much for an old dumpy hotel and the only perk is the waterpark but its so overcrowded in the summer you are wasting your time and money. The room i had was not clean and everything was outdated.

"Go with the Family Value Package if you've got older kids"
We came last summer with the Family Value Package and our 4 kids ages 6 through 12. Everyone had a fun time at the Sea Mist, especially the kids. The pool/waterpark plus mini golf plus restaurants plus kid and family programs made us almost never the hotel! Waterparks are a bit much, but they do a kiddie pool for beginning swimmers as well. If you've got lots of kids and they aren't water safe yet, then the waterpark might be a bit hard to keep tabs on everyone.
The rooms are older, so don't expect beautifully luxurious, 5-star rooms. I would rate this value ACME type rooms. But, for the price, they are clean and functional just right for the budget since we always have to get more rooms with our family of 6! When we went, the first room we got was not great, so we actually ended up asking for another room and that was much better.
The staff was friendly and helpful to each of our requests and we certainly had many given the size of our family. The themed dinners were also fun for the kids and ranged from cookie decorating to pirates.
The package is nice because it pulls together all the kid-friendly activities in the area for you without having to do all the research and waiting in ticket lines. For example, the resort waterpark is more for younger kids, older kids will want to head to the Family Kingdom Oceanfront Water Park which is part of the Family Value Package, but not part of Sea Mist.

"Our fav place to stay in Myrtle Beach"
Our family has been enjoying Sea Mist's family homes, on-site water parks and activities for over five years now, during Mother's Day / 'Bike Week'. Rainy days are easier with the indoor on-site arcade (we have kids save their tickets until our last day to redeem them for whatever prices). Our 3 yo son was more interested in Sea Mist areas over spending time at the beach.

"Great place, great price!"
My family and I stayed here for 2 nights a few weeks ago. We loved it! They have a huge kiddie pool with slides and activities, a water park, and numerous outdoor and indoor pools. They also have 3 restaurants onsite and are oceanfront! I definitely recommend this resort for families with young children!

"Wonderful place"
We stayed here in July 09' and loved it! The staff were friendly and helpful. The Surf building is where we stayed and the floors were hardwood-which is wonderful with sand. There were lots of stuff to do at the hotel. You never had to leave if you didnt want. They have a waterpark, playground, mini golf, kiddie and adult pools. We will def. be coming back & not staying anywhere else
