"great place at a great price"
My small family stayed at the Rosen Shingle Creek a couple of months ago for our annual Disney Trip. It is super conveniently located, with a Whole Foods in close proximity, a Publix right ouside of the entrance, and a quick ride to the parks. With our 7 month old, we were happy to find that the hotel had many pools, the best being a 'beach entry' style one that allowed her to wade in with our help. The hotel itself was super clean and required very little extra child-proofing for curious little ones. Standard room size was generous, and the pack and play we brought had plenty of room, and even enough place to keep it set up and in a corner, so that we didn't feel too hemmed in with our early nights. Seemed to be well-soundproofed too, as we couldn't hear the other families on our floor - hopefully they didn't hear too much middle of the night crying either. The parking is a bit crazy with a huge lot that fills up most nights, but there's at least a path back through the hotel's conference and ballrooms area that lets you make the trek indoors on cool Florida winter nights with wide halls and crazy carpet- if I had a toddler, I might consider bringing an umbrella stroller for the walk, because it is way far. Overall, i plan to say there on any trip we make back down- totally worth the price, especially if you get it on their promotional pricing.
