Truthfully, Trekarooers, and I know you want the TRAVEL TRUTH, the Riviera Palm Springs is best experienced and appreciated sans children. I would go so far to say that it is best experienced and appreciated if you leave your ENTIRE family at home and go with your girlfriends instead. Oh yes, I said it, on a website dedicated to helping you travel with children: GO WITH YOUR FRIENDS INSTEAD! Okay okay, fine, go with your kids. They may not enjoy the exquisite tub and gorgeous bathroom quite the same way you do, but they will definitely have a great time in the amazing pool. The pool and surrounding lounge areas are DIVINE. While your kids are splashing around, order an Adult Beverage from the poolside bar and if you're feeling wild, a giant basket of fries. Speaking of the food, we loved the hotel restaurant so much we ate there for (hangs head) NEARLY EVERY MEAL. The two times we ate elsewhere we said to ourselves, Why did we leave our glorious hotel and its fantabulous restaurant? I am not a foodie (I'm somewhat of a dessertatarian) but the food was AMAAAAAZING. It was pricey (go with your friends!) but absolutely delicious. The service, as well, was fantastic. I should mention that the best thing I ate was the giant heap of pancakes ordered from the pool bar one morning and eaten in a lounge chair while reading a Kindle. The amenities, service, and food are first rate, but if you stay here it helps if you have an appreciation for glitz and glam. I'd describe the decor as Liberace With Palm Trees. So, you know, AWESOME. I don't want to TOTALLY discourage you from bringing the kids. If you have them along, they WILL feel welcome and you certainly won't be the only family at the hotel. There were plenty of kids around and lots of babies having their first dip in a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and I'm pretty sure your kids will be happy hanging out at the pool all day. I just think YOU would have a better time if you went with your best friends. I'm only thinking of YOU!
