We had enough of staycation. So my husband and I decided to take our 2 kids to Texas in our version of the Griswald’s Family Vacation. One stop was the lovely Cattle Baron Inn & Suites located in Fort Worth. Quality Inn Cattle Baron I guess it’s also called. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Being a little road tired we checked in just in time to experience the Manager’s Reception BBQ out by the pool, which apparently they only do one night a week. Aren’t we lucky to hit the right night!! A lovely southern gentleman, Garrett, cooked up a tasty meal. After dinner, the kids took a dip in the pool. Debra who was working the front desk took such great care of us, even showed me where they kept the games in case we wanted to play games with the kids. The great things didn’t stop at the BBQ, they continued into breakfast where Renya whipped up a wondering southern meal for the complimentary breakfast! The rooms are comfortable, exceptionally clean and the hotel is well maintained. This is truly southern hospitality at its finest – and at a Quality Inn in little ‘ole Fort Worth. Who would have guessed!
You can get a two room suite here with doors that close between the two rooms. Makes life real easy for a stay with the grandparents. twi bathrooms and two TVs.
The dogs came too. Big meadow out back for them.
The living room has a whole games, coloring book, toys, card games, DVDs and DVD players to take to the room. They run a Family and Grandparents package that gives upgrades and all the DVD access plus late check out - all of which we used.
There is a full hote breakfast buffet with actually good, real food, protein and specials. Our children fell in love with the lady serving.
The pool was not open yet but was nicely landscaped with good furniture.
The staff could not do enough for us. Good experience and budget minded. We asked for a baby sitter in te afternoon and we had one that night. Very nice lady, too.
