"Not really for families"
Walking distance to some attractions during the day, but rooms were small and not kid-friendly, and there were no fridges and no pool in the hotel, nor any type of accessible meal service (restaurant that looked like kids would be allowed at). More a hip, trendy spot for those young adults with no kids - kind of a loud hotel, too, since the partying crowd stays there.

"Not the best area for family stays"
This hotel is not bad in any way, but if you're staying with kids, you're better off in the Crown Center or Plaza areas. Westport is a big bar area with a lot of nightlife but not as much going on in the daytime. There used to be a time where there were things to do during the day as a family (shopping) but most of the unique shops are gone.
Location.
Located in Kansas City's Westport neighborhood, this hotel is close
to Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Additional attractions
include Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.
Features.
Recreational amenities include a health club and a fitness
facility. Spa amenities include spa services and massage/treatment
rooms. This 3.0 star property has a 24 hour business center and
offers small meeting rooms, secretarial services, and limo/town car
service. Complimentary wireless and wired high speed Internet
access is available in public areas. This Kansas City property has
event space consisting of banquet facilities and conference/meeting
rooms. The property serves a complimentary hot and cold buffet
