Nine Zero Hotel A Kimpton Hotel

"Location, Location, Location"

The Nine Zero Kimpton Hotel is great. We landed here through Priceline at an unbeatable rate of $120/night from July 6th through 8th! It's within walking distance of everything (1 block from Boston Commons, freedom trail, downtown shopping, 5 minutes to Quincy, Chinatown and more), so ditch your car rental (you'd have to pay around $40 for overnight parking anyways). If you need to get to Fenway or the MFA or some of the other attractions outside of Boston or on the Cambridge side, just hop on the T that's one block away.  

The staff is incredibly helpful and for such a hip hotel, kid-friendly. Children receive a special Kimpton Kids package at the front desk that's age appropriate, (my 3 year old got Hot Wheels, a propeller hat, activity book and more). They also have a 5-7pm cocktail hour where we got some free snacks like cheese puffs, popcorn and lemonade. While other guest were sipping sangria and wine, my 3 year old was happily enjoying his lemonade and glass of popcorn with us.

We had a king deluxe room on the 10th floor which is quite spacious and relatively quiet. The hotel loses a star because the walls are thin as well as the windows. I'm a terribly light sleeper, so the 4am delivery truck was a bit early for me. Our room was also close to the elevator, so everytime the elevator arrived on the 10th floor, we would be notified. My 3 year old is a deep sleeper and didn't wake to anything. I tried to move rooms, but the majority of the rooms are facing the street, so none were available that were any different than what we already had.

The bathroom and sleeping are clean and I love the modern style of Kimpton hotels. My son thought we were hilarious lounging around in leopard print bathrobes.

Would stay here again although will need to request a room away from the street. Awesome location, friendly staff, and a bit of boutique-style that makes traveling with kids more fun.
