We booked two suites for our family during our trip to Philadelphia. We were here for two nights and then jumped over to the Museum Row area for the rest of our stay. We were already having fun seeing historic Philly, living in a historic Philly house made the experience all that more memorable. Our kids loved pretending to be founding fathers during the Colonial period.
You get free breakfast in the morning which was quite plentiful although it lacked hot food choices. Our kids loved having their homemade cookies in the afternoon during their tea time hour. It was a great way to come back from a long day of walking around the historic sites.
The rooms are clean and tidy. There was even a Jacuzzi in our room where I got to relax a bit after the kids headed off to bed.
The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly to both us as well as our kids which we always appreciate. Their recommendations for restaurants and how to structure our itinerary where just what we were looking for... distinct and helpful.
Would certainly recommend this for families with school age kids. If you have really young kids, this may not be ideal because the furniture is not particularly babyproof. However, there's a nice courtyard for them to crawl or toddle around.
